Sumptuous Settings

The reception table is where your friends and family gather to celebrate your new life and you want it to be memorable. For inspiration, wedding consultant Kate Parker has created themed table settings for three popular wedding locations.

In the Mountains

A forest feel is created with the use of mountain flora like green fiddleheads, birch bark and moss. Flowers include antique green hydrangea, mahogany sunflowers, coneflowers, chocolate cosmos, pieres japonica and the fiddleheads.

Liquid amber leaves were placed within the votives directly on the table for added texture. The copper container has a natural moss band, accented with birch bark and tied with vineyard twine.

The cinched ivory napkin is tied with birch bark and vineyard twine, accented with a single green fiddlehead. Rust burlap linen is used with Tuscan Green china, Beehive flatware and green gazebo glassware.

In the Garden

A bright and fragrant bouquet complements the garden setting. Small and large yellow sunflowers, purple dahlias, light and dark purple larkspur, yellow snapdragons and variegated pittisporum are placed in a galvanized bucket wrapped in natural wrapphia.

A rolled white linen hemstitch napkin is tied with the wrapphia wrap, accented with a purple dahlia.

Purple Irish linen with a white hemstitch overlay are paired with white bistro china, Bubbleware glassware and a straw round placemat. The candles are flea market mini glass lanterns.

By the Sea

The sights and sounds of the Seacoast are conjured up by this setting’s blue, green and white color theme. The flowers are variegated blue hydrangea, white and green spider mums, white crystal blush mini calla lilies and white French tulips. The container is a 6" square frosted vase banded on the bottom with navy and white satin ribbon with a capiz shell overlay.

The white linen hemstitch napkin is banded in navy and white satin with a single capiz shell accent. The candles are coral votives.

Prussian blue harmony linen is combined with Platinum Lines china, Spring flatware and Delano glassware. The charger plate is luster blue china.
