Beautiful Flowers to Match the Hot New Colors

Beautiful Flowers

Wedding colors are toned down a bit for fall and winter — the palette is darker, more subtle, but still lovely and lush. We asked six New Hampshire florists to create bouquets to suit the season in the latest color combinations for fall and winter.

Dark Green & Lavender A flowing, natural look is created with dark green hydrangea, dendrobium orchids in green, purple callas, mint, scabiosa, manzanita branch and berzellia berry, which are combined and cuffed with birch bark sewn together with lily grass and a leather button embellishment. Plum & Silver White hydrangea, “eggplant” zantedeschia calla lilies, black baccara roses and crystal daisy sequences create a luminous contrast of light and dark. The bouquet is wrapped with black and French-braided with silver. PJ’S Flowers & Antiques Bedford 603-732-4068 www.pjsflowers.net

Red & Iron Red freedom roses, black baccara roses, chocolate fiddleheads, leucadendron, red celosia, dusty miller-lamb’s ears, calla lilies and hyperium berries come together to make a dramatic statement. Mountain Laurel Ashland 603-968-3059 www.mountainlaurelflowers.com

Gold & Ivory So sweet and subtle, this bouquet is made from camel roses, South American hydrangea, heuchera leaves, dracaena, ornamental wheatgrass and curly willow. The stems are wrapped with a damask gold velvet ribbon. FloraLatté Littleton 603-444-7600 www.floralatte.com
