Death of the Strapless Dress

If you spend time clicking through gallery after gallery of Bridal Fashion Week albums like we do (hey, it's a tough job but someone needs to do it!), then you'll notice that strapless gowns are definitely on the decline. From high or illusion necklines to deep v-necks and thin straps, designers are - dare we say it - starting to leave the traditional strapless dress behind.

Amid all these non-strapless gowns, you'll notice that a large number feature sleeves. Lace dresses with cap or three-quarter sleeves have been in style for some time, but now we're seeing more long statement sleeves and delicate, fluttery cap sleeves in materials beyond lace (though lace still makes plenty of appearances).
