Brides today are personalizing their weddings and that includes creating a signature drink to serve at their reception. “It’s fun and different,” says wedding planner Amy Piper of Signature Events in Wolfeboro (www.signatureeventsnh.com). “Couples choose something that relates to them and what they like.” She says one couple created a separate, specially-lit martini bar because they and their friends had enjoyed martini bars together. Other popular choices are margaritas, cosmos and, in the summer, mojitos with fresh mint. Generally, Piper says, the signature drinks are served all night in addition to wine and beer, or to an open bar. Sometimes the couples have a printed card that explains why they chose the drink. Below are recipes suggested by New Hampshire beverage retailers.
